About This Map

This interactive map for AION 2 helps players quickly locate all known Empyrean Traces, Strongholds and Sealed Dungeons across both Elyos and Asmodian regions. Empyrean Traces are also added for the Lower Abyss Reshanta map.

  • Locate Markers: Find Empyrean Traces, Strongholds, Sealed Dungeons with ease.
  • Track Progress: Mark Empyrean Traces and Strongholds as "seen" to keep track of your exploration journey.
  • Personal Pins: Double-click anywhere to place personal pins that only you can see. Perfect for marking farming spots or other points of interest!

The map is updated as new locations are discovered, giving players a clear and accurate way to track exploration progress.

Where can I see map updates?
All updates about the website can be found here - Updates. Follow for news on new features and marker additions!
How do I mark traces or strongholds as seen?
Click a marker to open its inspector, then use "Mark Seen" or "Mark Done". Seen state is saved to localStorage so your progress persists on the same device.
Why are some markers missing from the map?
Some markers are only visible when certain filters are enabled. Check the filter panel to ensure the relevant categories are turned on.
Hidden cubes aren't at the same spots as in-game?
Hidden cubes are probably randomly spawned by the game. The map shows common spawn locations reported by players, but individual spawns may vary.
How can I help contribute?
You can help by providing feedback or reporting missing/wrong information via this form.
Personal Pins
How do I place a personal pin?
Double-click anywhere on the map (desktop) to create a personal pin. Personal pins are stored locally in your browser.
Can other players see my pins?
No - personal pins are saved only in your browser's localStorage. They will not be visible to other players unless you export and share the data manually.
What happens if I clear my browser cache?
Clearing localStorage or browser data will remove your personal pins and any marked "seen" progress. Public marker data is cached separately and will re-download from the server.

How does marker caching work?
The app uses a stale-while-revalidate cache in localStorage. Cached marker data is considered fresh for 1 hour; stale data is shown immediately while the app revalidates in the background and updates the cache if necessary.
